Jason Leavitt is a versatile individual with a rich background spanning various fields. Graduating from Hurricane High School in 1992, he embarked on a journey that led him through multiple certifications within the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), including Crisis Intervention Communication, working with K9 units, and expertise in dog behavior and manipulation.

In early 2020, Jason made the decision to return to his roots in southwestern Utah, ultimately settling in Toquerville, where he found great satisfaction in the community. Eager to contribute, he became deeply involved in initiatives to enhance the quality of life for its residents. His dedication to public service is evident in his extensive career, which includes over two decades as a police officer with LVMPD, where he served in various roles such as Firearms Instructor, Motor Officer, and Laughlin Resident Officer.

Throughout his career, Jason has been recognized for his exceptional bravery and dedication, receiving accolades such as the Medal of Valor, Lifesaving Award, and the October 1 Medal. Beyond his law enforcement career, he is also an accomplished professional with experience as a CDL driver, heavy equipment operator, and Director of Safety and Security for the Utah Military Academy.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Jason finds solace and fulfillment in his hobbies, particularly adventure motorcycling, hiking, bicycling, and trail running. He cherishes the freedom of being an American and embraces the opportunities to explore and appreciate the great outdoors.
